The Project consists of pulverizing and relaying Fleming Road, adding base course, asphaltic paving, and shouldering Question Deadline 01/15/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. . Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect This project includes pulverizing and relaying existing asphalt pavement, paving, shouldering, pavement marking and all incidental items necessary to complete the work as shown on the plans and included in the proposal and contract. The bid proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum bid price, payable to the Town of Lake, as a guarantee that the bidder, if bid is accepted, will execute and file the proper contract and 100 percent performance and payment bonds within 15 days after the Notice of Award. In case the Bidder fails to file such contract and required bonds, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Town of Lake as liquidated damages. Letting of contracts will be subject to Section 66.0901 Wisconsin Statutes, Public Works, Contracts, and Bids The Town of Lake reserves the right to waive any formalities in the preparation of a bid and to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the scheduled time of bid opening. ***Document note: Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website
