The Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of drainage improvements, recoating of the existing surfacing on the running track and field events, and replacement of the existing Synthetic Turf at Lumberton High School, Lumberton ISD, Hardin County, Texas. More specifically: The porous structural spray recoating of the existing track surfacing on the 8-lane running track, high jump apron, one (1) pole vault runway and two (2) long/triple jump runways. There are also at a minimum three (3) small holes in the existing surfacing that will need to be patched prior to recoating. The drainage improvements which consist of installation of 15" HDPE or RCP and 18" RCP storm sewer pipe, two storm manholes and a 10' curb inlet, from the existing field discharge pipe to the existing ditch to the west. Associated concrete pavement and demolition and repairs of pavement, curbs, striping and a bollard are also included, at a minimum. The removal and replacement of the existing synthetic turf over the existing SP14 shock pad, which is to remain. The base scope should include the removal of the existing synthetic turf, stockpiling and reinstallation of the existing shock pad, and laser grading of the turf field drain stone. The new synthetic turf system itself will be included via alternate proposals, along with potential cooling infill alternates as well as an alternate for the removal and replacement of the existing perimeter turf nailer board. Also included in the base scope shall be Powder Coating of the two (2) Existing Goalposts, including 1) the dismantling of the goalposts and transport to a local off-site powder coater, 2) powder coating in fluorescent yellow, 3) replacement of the existing hardware as provided by the manufacturer, 4) installation of new directional wind flags on the uprights and 5) the return and reinstallation of the powder-coated goalposts. Alternate #3 Turf Nailer Board Replacement shall include 1) the removal and disposal of the existing turf nailer board, and 2) the installation of a new 2x4 Black Rhino Structural Grade turf nailer board (or approved equal) with 1/2 "x4 1/2 " stainless steel Trubolt wedge anchors. Reseal the nailer with self-leveling silicone joint sealant. Alternates include different synthetic turf systems with standard rubber-sand infill, cooling infill products, and replacement of the existing nailer board.
