The project includes the full "turn key" modernizations to the elevators on the Modesto Junior College East Campus and Modesto Junior College West Campus for a total of seven (7) elevators. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess at a minimum the following State of California Contractor License and Certification: A California Class A and/or B and/or C11 contractor's license is required to Bid this contract. The Bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. Additional Pre bid meeting note: The bid walk will continue onto the East Campus located 435 College Ave., Modesto. All participants shall meet in front of the Administration (Morris Memorial) Building followed by Founders' Hall, then the Library & Learning Center and finally the Women's PE building. (Campus Maps are located in the Appendix of each Volume (2 and 3)) The pre-bid conference is expected to take approximately three (3) hours. This conference is strongly recommended for all bidders but is not mandatory. Summary of the General Contractor's construction activities include, but are not necessarily limited to: B. The description of work above is not all-inclusive and is solely provided as a summary for the convenience of the Contractor; refer to Drawing and Specifications for extent of work. C. Due to the difficulty of anticipating every unsatisfactory condition that might be found in existing construction where alteration, rehabilitation or reconstruction work is proposed, "The intent of these specifications is that the work of the alteration, rehabilitation or reconstruction is to be in accordance with Title 24, California Code of Regulations. Should any existing conditions such as deterioration or non-complying construction be discovered which is not covered by the contract documents wherein the finished work will not comply with Title 24, California Code of Regulations, a change order or a separate set of plans and specifications, detailing and specifying the required work shall be submitted to and approved by the Architect before proceeding with the work.
