The overall budget is 3-4 million rough estimate. The City of Harbor Beach invites statements of qualifications, experience, and interest from qualified engineering consultants for providing all required surveying, grant administration, preliminary and final design, and construction engineering services for the Harbor Beach Water Transmission Main Replacement. Questions regarding request for statement of qualifications to be emailed only To: rwuble@harborbeach.Com The City reserves the right to accept or reject all RFQs, waive any informalities and award the contract to the most qualified firm. The City of Harbor Beach will conduct an evaluation of the Statements of Qualifications. The evaluation will be made on the following basis: Qualifications and experience of the project team members proposed. Previous water transmission main design and construction experience. Success in obtaining US Economic Development Administration (EDA) grants in the last two years. Previous Grant Administration experience with the EDA, including administration of projects with EDA and additional funding sources. Firm's capacity to complete the project. The intended project will consist of the following: Replacement of an aged section of existing 16" water transmission main from Richie Drive (near the Water Treatment Plant) to Broad Street. Installation of a parallel 16" transmission main for reliability and redundancy. Connection of the new transmission mains to existing water distribution system. The Statement of Qualifications received will be reviewed and evaluated by the City Staff. The firm determined to be most qualified will be recommended to the City Council to complete this project. It is the intention of the City to retain the selected firm in February of 2024. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
