Capital Improvements Sealed bids for individual Trade Packages will be received for the 2024 Capital Improvements. 2024 Capital Improvements - Bid Release 05 - Trade Package 02D - SELECTIVE DEMOLITION The contract awards will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. While price is important, past similar experience and ability to timely deliver the project on budget are also important considerations. The Community Consolidated School District 89 reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make an award that in the Board's opinion is in the best interest of District 89. All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wages by all Contractors working on public works. Bidders must comply with the Illinois Statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity Laws, Substance Abuse Prevention, Drug Free Workplace and any applicable superseding ordinance or public law. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cash in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount shall be submitted with the bid. Should a bid bond be submitted, the bid bond shall be payable to the Community Consolidated School District 89. Successful bidders are required to provide a Performance and Payment (P&P) Bond for 100% of the awarded sum. Cost to furnish P&P bonds shall be included in base bid. Bonds will be made payable to the Community Consolidated School District 89 and include a Dual Obligee Rider adding IHC Construction Companies, LLC. The successful bidder will be required to furnish insurance equal to or greater than the specified amounts in the General Conditions. The cost of the insurance will be included in each bidder's proposal. Bidders who receive plans from an online plan room must contact IHC Construction Companies to ensure timely notification of addenda. Questions should be addressed in writing via email to IHC Construction Companies, LLC; Attn: Tracy Templin ttemplin@ihcconstruction.com. Questions submitted after January 9, 2024, cannot be considered. Bid Event Notes : Bids shall be submitted on or before the specified closing time in an opaque sealed envelope addressed to: Community Consolidated School District 89, Attn: Maureen Jones, Assistant Superintendent for Finance & Operations/CSBO, and plainly marked "Sealed Bid" and list the Submitting Contractor's Name with Trade Package 02D - Selective Demolition on the outside of the envelope.
