Written Question Submittal December 29, 2023 Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, supplies, vehicles, equipment, travel, working drawings, permits and incidentals necessary to install one (1) 24 feet (24') wrought iron gate with one (1) new motorized gate opener. In addition, with all electrical wiring to power the gate and all accessories pertaining to this project at the Caltrans HQ Warehouse in Sacramento County. Bidder and/or subcontractor shall possess at the time of bid submittal and for the duration of the Agreement, a valid and current Class A General Engineering Contractor and/or C-13 Fencing Contractor, C-28-Lock and Security Equipment Contractor, D-28-Doors, Gates and Activating Devices plus C-10 Electrical Contractor licenses issues by Contractors State License Board (CSLB). By submitting its bid, Bidder certifies, under penalty of perjury, that its Contractors State License Board (CSLB) license is in a classification appropriate to the work to be undertaken as identified in the Proposed Form of Agreement, Exhibit A, Scope of Work, Attachment 11. This requirement has also been added in the Proposed Form of Agreement, Exhibit E, Attachment 11. Refer to Section C, Bid Requirements and Information, Section 13, Contractor's License, for submittal requirements. Caltrans will verify bidder's Contractor License, and any Subcontractor Licenses, so it is not necessary to provide a copy. Payment Bond (ADM-2009) Requirement: If the successful bidder's bid is $25,000 or more, the successful bidder shall furnish a Payment Bond for not less than 100 percent (100%) of the total amount payable by the terms of this Agreement. The Payment Bond is due prior to the start date of work. No work may commence without receipt of a valid Payment Bond. The Payment Bond must be in effect at all times for the duration of the Agreement. If the Payment Bond expires during the term of the Agreement, a new Payment Bond must be provided to Caltrans Contact Manager. As required by Executive Order S-02-06, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is committed to meeting the State's twenty-five percent (25%) Small Business (SB) participation goal. The DVBE Participation Program applies, and a three percent (3%) participation is required for this IFB. Caltrans reserves the right to reject all bids for reasonable cause.
