Notice is hereby given that Cedar Hills (Owner), will accept bids for the construction of the Harvey Well Pump House Upgrades The Work shall comprise of the installation of new pump discharge piping including piping, valves, flowmeter (owner provided), monitoring systems, and appurtenances, new electrical systems including new station control panels, new chlorination system, new louver installation in existing CMU wall, new double door installation, new generator and pad, new sidewalk, new metal roofing system, new architectural cladding system, new roof pump access hatch and roof repairs, and demolitions of existing piping, roofing, and CMU wall sections required for new installations. The Work also includes electrical connections to existing electrical service equipment, and installation of owner provided heaters and exhaust fans. Construction of piping and chlorination system are for use in a drinking water system. TYPE OF WORK: Building demolitions, door installation, roofing repairs and new truss installations, drinking water piping and valve installation, cast-in place concrete, electrical modifications and installations, chlorination system installation, metal roofing installations, architectural cladding. The work is located near 4444 West 9860 North, Cedar Hills, Utah 84062. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the base bid will be required to accompany bids. There will be no pre-bid conference held. Question Deadline 01/11/2024. All questions relative to the project shall be submitted by email to the Engineer is zak@halengineers.com. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than three days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Addenda may be issued to clarify, correct, or change the Bidding Documents as deemed advisable by Owner or Engineer. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids; or to accept or reject the whole or any part of any bid; or to waive any informality or technicality in any bid in the best interest of Geneva Rock Products. Only bids giving a firm quotation properly signed will be accepted. Bids will be evaluated on cost considerations. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Owner further reserves the right to reject the Bid of any Bidder whom it finds, after reasonable inquiry and evaluation, to be non-responsible. Owner also reserves the right to waive all informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work and to negotiate contract terms with the Successful Bidder. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5% of Bidder's maximum Bid price and in the form of a certified check or a Bid bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price, as security for the faithful performance and payment of all of Contractor's obligations under the Contract. Provisions for liquidated damages, if any, for failure to timely attain a Milestone, Substantial Completion, or completion of the Work in readiness for final payment, are set forth in the Agreement. The Work, excluding the work in Milestone 3, will be substantially complete by July 1, 2024 and with final completion by August 1, 2024.
