Project Description: Excavate/Trench in and around existing improvements and existing underground obstructions and install various lengths and sizes of conduit/pipe, pull-rope, vaults, electric pedestals and associated components for Electric, Water, Sewer and Storm Drain substructure installation and Road Base application for recreational campsite upgrades at Lake McSwain in Snelling, CA. This is a Public Works Project. Question Deadline 01/02/2024 at 12:00 PM PT BID QUESTIONS: The Q&A period for this project begins The Q&A period for this project ends You will not be able to send messages after this time. Questions shall only be submitted electronically via the MID Procurement Portal at electronically. The District will make every attempt to provide answers by 12:00 PM Local Time on Wednesday January 3, 2024. Answers will be provided in the form of electronic addenda and distributed to registered Bidders. Substantive addenda will not be provided after PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Excavate/Trench in and around existing improvements and existing underground obstructions and install various lengths and sizes of conduit/pipe, pull-rope, vaults, electric pedestals and associated components for Electric, Water, Sewer and Storm Drain substructure installation and Road Base application for recreational campsite upgrades at Lake McSwain in Snelling, CA. Vaults and electrical pedestals including freight to be supplied and delivered by MID. The Contractor shall coordinate with MID and suppliers for quantities, order, delivery, and shipping of MID procured materials. All other substructure materials including PVC conduit, PVC conduit bends, pull rope, HDPE drain pipe, water valves/spigots and sewer flip-lids to be supplied and installed by the Contractor. All crossing of foreign underground obstructions including, but not limited to communication lines, electrical lines, gas lines, fuel lines, water lines, sewer lines, drain lines, ditches, etc. to be included in Bids. All substructure materials to meet or exceed MID standards and specifications. All substructure to be installed to MID standards and specifications. Contractor to repair and restore all property affected by construction activities to "like-or-better" condition. Other items not listed shall be placed, constructed, or installed as required by the Contract Documents and Construction Drawings. AWARD DATE: Notice of Award will be issued on or around Friday January 5, 2024. BEGIN WORK DATE: Notice to Proceed will be issued on or around Friday January 12, 2023. WORK COMPLETION DATE: Work shall be completed by Sunday March 3, 2024. CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: The Contract Documents consist of: the Notice of Award, executed Contract, Bonds, Certificate of Insurance, Notice to Proceed, Insurance, Bid Documents, Excavation, Substructure and Construction Drawings/Plans, Standards/Specifications and Permits from other agencies as may be required by law. REJECTION OF PROPOSALS: Proposals may be rejected if they show any alteration of form, additions not called for, conditional Bids, incomplete Bids, obviously unbalanced prices, erasures or irregularities of any kind. The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. BIDDER'S SECURITY: All Bids shall be presented under sealed cover and accompanied by one of the following forms of Bidder's security: certified check or Bidder's bond. Bonds shall be duly executed by a responsible corporate surety, authorized to insure such bonds in the State of California, and secured through an authorized agent with an office in California. The security for each bond (Bid bond, performance bond and payment bond) shall be a percentage of the Bid amount equal to at least 10% for the Bid bond and 100% for the performance and payment bonds. A Bid will not be considered unless one of the forms of Bidder's security is enclosed with it. The Bidder's security shall be attached to the appropriate page in the Contract Documents.
