DWSRF ID: 12457 Wells 5 & 8 Water Treatment Plant - Request for Qualifications. The project consists of construction of a new 1.44 MGD water treatment plant that will treat the Town's Well Nos. 5 and 8 located at Training Field Road. Treatment plant will be 7,000 s.f. masonry structure that will remove iron, manganese, and PFAS from the two wells. Project includes new pumps, chemical feed systems, greensand and granular activated carbon filtration vessels, instrumentation & SCADA, electrical, and HVAC. Project Location: Training Field Road, Chatham, MA -The treatment plant will remove iron, manganese and PFAS from two wells located at the treatment plant site on Training Field Road. The work includes, but is not limited to, excavation and backfill, site utilities, concrete and masonry building construction, process piping, chemical feed systems, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical systems, and instrumentation and controls. Construction is expected to begin in May 2024. Following prequalification, the Town of Chatham will invite the prequalified respondents to submit General Bids and Filed Sub-bids for the project. Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) goals for the project are 4.2% D/MBE, and 4.5% D/WBE participation by certfieid DBE firms. The project shall be completed within 640 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The project consists of constructing a new 134' x 52' masonry water treatment facility, a new gravel and asphalt driveway to access the treatment facility, and new pump motors in the existing buildings for wells 5 and 8, which are located off Training Field Road.
