The work consists of furnishing all labor, material, and equipment required for select demolition of existing duplex sanitary sewer pump station (wet well/dry well) components, rehabilitation of remaining wet well components, installation of new submersible pumps, force main piping, control valve units, electrical power supply, electrical controls, standby generators (1 new and 1 relocation), sewer by-pass pumping assembly, sewer by-pass pumping, landscaping and other miscellaneous items related thereto. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis for items of work, as specified. Bids shall be submitted on the proposal forms provided by the Engineer. A Bid Bond in the form of a certified check or a Bid Bond for a sum not less than five percent (5 percent) of the amount of the bid payable to St. Clair Township will be required with each bid. The right is reserved by OWNER to accept any Bid, to reject any Bid, and to waive irregularities in Bids. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance, Labor and Materials bonds, Maintenance and Guarantee bonds, and insurance certificates. Bids may not be withdrawn for 60 days after receipt. All bids must be submitted on the Proposal Forms provided by the Engineer. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
