For furnishing of all materials, labor, equipment and performing all work required for the construction of the 2023 LMIG SAP SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT within the CITY OF THOMASVILLE. This project consists of safety improvements to the following streets: Blackshear Street, Broad Street (North), Crawford Street (South), Edgewood Circle, Fletcher Street, Genesis Parkway, Glenwood Drive, Madison Street (South), Magnolia Street, Martin Luther King Jr. Drive (North), Neel Street, Old Monticello Road, Park Avenue, Patterson Street, South Street, Stevens Street (North), Varnedoe Street, Washington Street (West). These improvements include the refurbishment of existing striping and a minimal amount of new striping on portions of the streets and roads listed above. Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in the amount of not less than ten (10) percent of the Bid, as a guarantee that the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will within ten (10) days after written notice having been given of such award, enter into a written contract with the City of Thomasville, Georgia, in accordance with the accepted proposal. Bids must be sealed and plainly marked 2023 LMIG SAP SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT and must be delivered before the time specified. The bidder shall complete, execute, and submit the following documents from these contract documents: Section 00410 - Bid Form, Section 00430 - Bid Bond, Section 00450 - Statement of Bidder's Qualifications, Section 00451 - Contractor's Oath and Non-collusion Affidavit of Subcontractor. Bidders are required to review the insurance requirement stated in Section 00730 - Supplementary Conditions of the contract specifications with their provider to insure all aspects of the requirements can be met. This project is asphalt striping and pavement marking and does not require a licensed utility contractor to submit a bid. However, there may be portions of the project that by law requires a licensed utility contractor. No Bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the request of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. Separate Payment and Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract will be required. All bid bonds, performance and payment bonds, insurance contracts, and certificates of insurance shall be either executed by or counter-signed by a licensed resident agent of the surety or insurance company, having his place of business in the State of Georgia, and in all ways complying with the insurance laws of the State of Georgia. The City of Thomasville, Georgia, reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, to re-advertise, and/or to award the contract in the best interest of the City The deadline for receipt of deposit (in the Office of the City Engineer) for plans and specifications to assure delivery is 3:00 P.M., local time, January 9, 2024.
