Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cash in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid amount shall be submitted with the bid. Should a bid bond be submitted, the bid bond shall be payable to the Board of Trustees, Black Hawk College. Representatives from the College and the Architect s and Construction Manager s office will be present to answer questions regarding bidding procedures and project requirements. The College reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make the award in the best interest of the College. Decisions of the College will be final. This solicitation includes an aspirational goal of 30% participation of BEP certified vendors to perform or provide the anticipated services and/or supplies required by this solicitation. All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wages by all contractors working on public projects. Bidders must comply with the Illinois Statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity Laws.
