Estimated Bid Value $1,583,800 Bid Valid 90 Days Liquidated Damages $2,000.00 for each consecutive calendar day Bidders must possess a current State of California "Class-A" Contractor's License. Start/Delivery Date March 7, 2024 Project Duration This is a 60 working day contract. Question Deadline 01/08/2024 at 10:00 AM PT Questions related to the Work shall be addressed to the Engineer The work to be done is described in these Bid and Contract Documents for the above stated Project. The general Scope of Work is as follows: DESCRIPTION OF WORK 1. Clear and grub existing surface of any organic material and loose debris 2. Removal and disposal of existing asphalt concrete, PCC sidewalk, street signs, fences and other facilities as shown in the Construction Drawings. 3. Remove all existing conflicting striping. 4. Provide Construction Survey and Staking 5. Grading, including excavation and compaction for pavement subgrade. 6. Construct 3.5" AC over 4" Class II Aggregate Base 7. Construct Curb and Gutter 8. Construct Residential Driveway Aprons 9. Construct 6-feet wide sidewalks 10. Construct ADA compliant pedestrian ramps. 11. Relocate existing mailboxes. 12. Raise to grade existing manholes and valves per City and EMWD standards. 13. Raise to grade and relocate existing water meters and boxes per City and EMWD standards 14. Install street signs, striping and pavement markings as shown in the Construction Drawings. All striping and pavement markings shall be thermoplastic. This project is date specific, and the construction schedule shall be strictly adhered. The Contractor shall begin work on or before the date noted in the project construction time schedule shown below and in the General Provisions. Construction WORK HOURS will be limited between 8:00AM and 5:00PM Pacific Time, Monday to Friday unless approved by City Engineer. LOCATION OF WORK Romoland 3rd St Improvements Project (CIP No. 23-04) This project is located east of the 215 freeway and north of Highway 74. The major crossroads are Highway 74 and Antelope Road. The improvements will along 3rd street between highway 74 and Antelope Road in the community know as Romoland. All bids shall be submitted to the Agency's front desk in a sealed envelope plainly marked on the outside with "SEALED BID FOR CIP 23-04, Romoland 3rd St. Improvements Project - DO NOT OPEN WITH REGULAR MAIL." A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held for this project.
