Site Improvements Contract No. 2023-5 - Short Avenue Paving Rehabilitation - Activities involve all work incidental to the construction of street improvements along Short Avenue, Township of Cresson, to include, but not be limited to, the following site improvement activities: 1,600 S.Y. of 2" milling of bituminous pavement surface, 200 Ton of superpave asphalt mixture design - WMA wearing course, bituminous tack coat, site restoration, maintenance and protection of traffic, erosion and sedimentation control, quality control and related activities. The deposit shall be refunded only to those persons who submit a proper Bid Proposal and return the Contract Documents in good condition within ten (10) days after the opening of bids; otherwise the deposit shall be non-refundable. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons whose name and address are on record with the Redevelopment Authority as having obtained the Contract Documents. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Cambria, negotiable U.S. Government bonds, at par value, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total Bid for Site Improvements, will be submitted with each Bid. The successful Bidder must furnish 100% Performance, and Labor and Materialmen's Bonds before the awarding of the Contract. Prevailing wages established under the Davis-Bacon Act will apply to these contracts. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, goals for minority and female participation, MBE and WBE participation, participation by Section 3 residents and businesses, and related matters. The Redevelopment Authority of the County of Cambria reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to readvertise or to waive any informalities in the Bidding. Bids may be held by the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Cambria for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of the Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
