A. General 1. Scope of Work The work to be performed consists, in general of: i. Removal and replacement of timber decking and handrail ii. Replacement of damaged angle retainer iii. Containment, preparation, and re-painting of steel bridge structure and conduits iv. Containment, preparation, and re-painting of concrete bridge abutments v. Sealing gap between steel bridge to concrete abutment 2. Project Schedule Work may start the week of September 3, 2024, or after and must be completed by October 11, 2024. 3. Traffic Control Closure of the Yampa River Core Trail Stockbridge bridge will be from the Steamboat Creates Historic Depot Art Center (1001 13th St) to the Stockbridge Transit Center (1505 Lincoln Ave). Reference Number 0000337348 The City of Steamboat is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors for the refurbishment of Stockbridge Bridge. The project will generally consist of the removal and replacement of the timber decking and the containment, preparation, and re-painting of the steel structures. Question Acceptance Deadline 01/11/2024 at 5:00 PM MT Questions are submitted online Yes Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % -- A performance bond and payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, with a corporate surety approved by the City will be required for the faithful performance of the contract for all construction projects in excess of $50,000. You also must submit a Bid Bond for 5% of the total cost of the bid with your bid. Work may start the week of September 3, 2024, or after and must be completed by October 11, 2024.
