The Duncan Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Chlorination and Dechlorination Improvements Project is situated in the City of Duncan, Oklahoma. The WWTP has a permitted average annual daily flow capacity of 4.5 million gallons per day. This project includes a range of improvements such as sodium hypochlorite and sodium bisulfite storage and feed systems within the new Chlorination/Dechlorination Building. Additionally, algal control at the secondary clarifier will also be addressed. The scope of the project includes the fill station for sodium hypochlorite and delivery and containment area for sodium bisulfite. This requires new chemical yard piping ranging from 0.5 inch and 3 inches in size, a new 4-inch plant drain with maintenance access hole, 1.5-inch potable water line to chemical building, and a 1.25-inch tempered waterline routed around the site. The new chemical facility will require demolition and construction of new prefabricated metal building installed on top of an existing concrete water holding structure. This will house the sodium hypochlorite and sodium bisulfite storage and feed systems. The deadline to ask questions is 1/12/2024 5:00 PM CST All questions to be submitted thru online. Bid Documents can be downloaded via online. All bidder questions will be responded thru via online. Each bid exceeding $50,000 must be accompanied by a Bid Bond for five percent of the total amount of the bid and payable to the Owner. A certified check may be used in lieu of the Bid Bond. Construction bonds (Performance, Statutory, and Maintenance) in the amount of 100 percent with a corporate surety approved by the Owner will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The Contractor will be required to begin work within 10 calendar days of the date shown on the Notice to Proceed. The time for completion is 305 calendar days. Liquidated damages will be $1000 per calendar day. The Owner reserves the right to correct any non-material clerical errors in the bidding as allowed under Oklahoma Law. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids in accordance with the Oklahoma Public Competitive Bidding Act of 1974. Conditional bids shall not be accepted. Estimate: $1.5M-$2.0M *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
