The existing six span steel beam bridge is 275 ft. long with a 32 ft. roadway. Project includes removal and replacement of the existing bridge deck, repairs to, and complete painting of the structural steel, rehabilitation of the existing piers and abutments, and the replacement of existing underpass lighting. -Deck Replacement and Rehabilitation for Bridge No. 2114200 on I-70 eastbound CD roadway over I81. The existing six span steel beam bridge is 275 ft. long with a 35 ft. roadway. Project includes removal and replacement of the existing bridge deck, repairs to, and complete painting of the structural steel, rehabilitation of the existing piers and abutments. -Replacement and Widening for Dual Bridges No. 2111203 and 2111204 on I-70 over US 11. The existing dual steel beam bridges have span lengths of 35'-6", 73'-4" and 35'-6", with an existing clear roadway of 44'-0" westbound and 54'-0" eastbound. The proposed dual steel girder bridges have a span length of 110'-0" with a proposed clear roadway of 54'-0" westbound and 66'-0" eastbound. -Replacement of Deck and Widening for Dual Bridges No. 2111303 and 2111304 on I-70 over Norfolk Southern Railway Corporation. The existing dual steel beam bridges have span lengths of 35'-9", 35'-3" and 41'-10", with an existing clear roadway width of 40'-0" westbound and eastbound. The proposed widened bridges have span lengths of 35'-9", 35'-3" and 41'-10", with a proposed clear roadway width of 56'-0" westbound and eastbound.. Additional work includes widening and rehabilitation of the bridge substructures and cleaning and painitng of the existing structural steel. -There is 1.82 miles of widening and upgrading the I-70 approach roadway, which includes resurfacing of I-70 from west of MD 63, eastward to the the Bower Avenue overpass, placement of new traffic barriers, stormwater management facilities, signing, lighting, and permanent pavement striping. -Existing lanes of traffic in each direction on I-70 will be maintained at all times with staged construction. Pre Bid Conference: A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held for this contract. Minimum wage rates for each Project, if applicable, have been pre-determined by law and are set forth in the Invitation for Bids (IFB). Bids must only be made upon the latest electronic proposal forms (and attachments) that are furnished by the Administration. In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00. The SHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
