East Pike land Township Rapps Dam Road Covered Bridge Protection Project. The scope of work generally includes the installation of caissons and adding fabricated steel to protect the existing bridge structure. All questions shall be submitted via Online. All bidders must be Online pre-qualified and must complete a non-collusion affidavit. This contract is in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, and the successful bidder shall pay no less than the Wage Rates determined for the project as stated in the Contract documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bidder's bond, certified check or cashier's check, in favor of East Pikeland Township in the amount of not less than 10% of the total amount of the bid. The successful bidder shall be bound to furnish and pay for a Performance Bond and a Labor & Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, on bond forms provided by East Pikeland Township. There is a zero percent (0%) requirement for MBE and/or WBE participation. Award of the Contract, if the contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, however East Pikeland Township reserves the right to reject any and or all bids on any basis and to waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law. No bidder may withdraw a bid after the actual date of the opening thereof.
