Pierce County Department of Facilities Management is accepting bids for a Preventative Maintenance & Repair Services contractor, for its refrigerators, freezers, reefers, coolers, chillers, evaporators, condensers, dishwashers, booster heaters, garbage disposals, steam kettles, ovens, ranges, skillets, pressure cookers, deep fryers, filter systems, and miscellaneous other food service equipment Question Submission Deadline: December 18, 2023, 4:00pm. Bonds and Retainage a. A bid bond will not be required for this work. b. For Public Works contracts less than or equal to $35,000 including tax and purchase services contracts which include services requiring the payment of prevailing wages less than or equal to $50,000 including tax, the following will apply: The County shall waive retainage and bonding but will retain the right of recovery against the Contractor for any payments made on the Contractor behalf. The notice to proceed will be issued within ten (10) calendar days of the execution of the Contract by the Owner. Should there be reasons why the notice to proceed cannot be issued within such period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the County and Contractor. All project work shall be completed within Not to Exceed Two Years or 365calendar days of issuance of the Notice to Proceed by the County.
