Anticipated Issuance of Notice to Proceed October 2024 The project is anticipated to be completed no later than the third (3rd) quarter of 2029. Requests for Clarification/Information (RFC/RFI) Due 3:00 p.m., January 8, 2024 The proposed Project consists of the construction of new school buildings, and the demolition of aging and deteriorating buildings. The Project scope also includes interim facilities, as necessary, to accommodate the temporary displacement of any facility and its associated function during construction. 2.1 Detailed Scope of Work The scope of the proposed Project includes, but is not limited to: A. Construction of a new Gymnasium Complex, 5 Specialty classrooms including Ceramics, Music, Drama, Dance and Sports Medicine, and a new Maintenance and Operations yard and building. B. Demolition of Shop Building and Gymnasium Building C. Demolition of relocatable restroom building and ticket booth D. Exterior painting of remaining buildings, (except Greenway Arts Building) to provide a uniform appearance. E. Interim facilities in existing campus spaces as required. F. Upgrade/restoration of any campus areas as impacted by interim facilities. G. Utility Upgrades necessary to complete project scope: 1. New or upgraded Sanitary Sewer Lines 2. New or upgraded Storm Water Lines 3. New Water Lines 4. New Fire Water Lines and New on-site Fire Hydrants as required 5. Electrical and Low Voltage & Fire Alarm 6. Replacement of main electrical switch gear at Main DWP Transformer. H. Improvements to landscape, hardscape, parking, and site lighting within Development zone. I. Upgrades as needed to fencing, fixtures and equipment, gates, and other upgrades as required to support the new facilities. J. Improvements as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Division of the State Architect (DSA), California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), and any other required improvements or mitigations to ensure compliance with local, state and/or federal facilities requirements. K. Utility agency approvals and connections. L. Approvals from other Regulatory Agencies as required. M. Coordination of District furnished furniture and equipment (FF&E). N. The District has prepared an initial HREH report for this school site and a CEQA interpretive program will not be required. District has established participation goalsto attain twenty-five percent (25%) of the contract dollars going to certified SBE/MicroSBE and five percent (5%) going to VBE/DVBE. All Proposers shall implement policies, procedures and methods to meet these goals, which may include but not be limited to the procurement of supplies, equipment, technical services, and/or other services under this contract.
