The Project includes the following Work: The project consists of the installation of approximately 25,500 linear feet of 6-inch high pressure steel gas main, trenched and un trenched installation, line valves, connections and other appurtenances. The Project also contains an Additive Alternate for the installation of an additional 15,000 linear feet of 6-inch high pressure steel gas main, the installation, and connection and commissioning of a new owner provided pressure regulator station into the natural gas distribution system. The 6-inch high pressure gas main, valves and fittings will be furnished by the City for installation by the contractor. All anticipated permits and easements required for the project are in progress and are anticipated to be obtained prior to execution of contract documents. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. No proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by satisfactory evidence that the Bidder holds a Georgia State Utility Contractor s License in compliance with Act. O.C.G.A. 43-14 and 43-41. Failure to provide the bidder's license or qualification number on the outside of the sealed proposal will result in rejection of the bid. Bidder shall also be a current subscriber of the Subscribed Regulatory Compliance Service (SRCS) Operations Qualification Program and shall provide satisfactory evidence upon request. If the Contract is to be awarded, Owner will award the Contract on the basis of the base bid plus selected alternative.
