Document notes : Access to Electronic PDF versions of Specifications and Drawings via FTP site will be given following receipt of deposit, review of the AIA A305 document and approval as a pre-qualified Bidder. AIA A305 may be sent to Architect electronically by sending an email to jrobinson@cfmm.net and copy switt@cfmm.net. The Owner will make progress payments to the successful contractor upon receipt of request for payment having been certified by the Architect as fully covered and shown in Contract Documents. Contract, if awarded, will be on a stipulated sum basis. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of receipt of bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond payable to Newton County Board of Education in an amount equal to five percent of the base bid (Certified Checks NOT Acceptable). Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each amount equal to 100 percent of the contract sum, will be required of the successful bidder. These bonds shall be executed by a Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia, be listed on "Department of The Treasury Circular 570" and have an A. M. Best Company rating of at least Class "A", with a Financial Size of VI or better. Bonds must be accompanied by letter stating company's current rating for verification prior to acceptance by the Owner and execution of the formal Owner/Contractor agreement. All questions must be addressed to Cunningham, Forehand, Matthews, Moore Architects as stated in the document. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding, and to award a contract for any part of the work, or the job as a whole.
