Renovations at the Middletown Public Library All bidders must use and complete all bid forms and must comply with all requirements contained in the instructions and specifications. Al bids shall be stated in words and figures on bid forms provided. Bidding shall be in conformance with the applicable requirements of N.J.S.A. 40A:11-16, as applied to single overall building contracts. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cash, or bid bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, but not to exceed $20,000.00. If the Contract Is awarded to the Bidder, the Bidder will, within fourteen (14) days, Sundays and Holidays excepted, thereafter, execute such Contract and furnish satisfactory Performance Bond and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement by the Bidder. Upon failure to do so, the Bidder shall forfeit the deposit as liquidated damages. No interest shall be allowed upon any such certified check or cash. All bidders and their subcontractors shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. All bids must be accompanied by a Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, pursuant to the Pubic Works Contractor Registration Act as to the Bidder and all subcontractors. All bids must be accompanied by a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue. The Bidder must include with its bid its own Business Registration Certificate and that of all subcontractors. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:2-I et seq., "The Law Against Discrimination". and Affirmative Action, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. No bidder who is on the State Treasurers or the Federal Government's List of Debarred, Suspended or Disqualified Bidders shall be eligible to bid on this project. The successful Bidder shall be required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, effective January 1, 1964, and all other applicable laws. The Township of Middletown Public Library reserves the right to reject any and all bids pursuant to NJSA 40A:11-13.2 or to waive any minor irregularities in any bid proposal if it is considered in the best interest of the Owner to do so. No bid shall be deemed accepted or a Contract awarded until public adoption of the resolution to that effect by the Township of Middletown Public Library. Bids may be held by the Township of Middletown Public Library for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids prior to awarding of the contract, unless said period is extended by mutual consent. This Notice is not intended to limit or supersede any requirements set forth in the bid specifications or as maybe required by applicable law.
