Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County, Nevada (RTC) is requesting bids from qualified contractors for the Selmi Drive Rehabilitation project. This is a project selected from the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Program that will include roadway excavation and reconstruction with aggregate base and bituminous plantmix, roadbed modification with cement treatment, construction of new curb and gutter, removal and replacement of sidewalk, median curbs, driveways and pedestrian ramps, utility adjustments, signage and striping. Prospective Bidders must be Contractors presently licensed under the Nevada State Law for the type of work specified herein. Every Bid shall be accompanied by a Surety Company Bid Bond, or by a Certified or Cashiers Check made payable to the Regional Transportation Commission in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid, said amount to be forfeited to the RTC should the Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded fail to enter into a Contract in accordance with the Bid and other Contract Documents within ten (10) calendar days after award. Engineers Opinion of Probable Cost: $1,000,000 to $1,300,000 Prevailing wage rates for Washoe County shall be posted on the work site and paid to all classifications of labor as required by the laws of the State of Nevada. The work to be performed under this Contract shall be commenced by the successful Bidder after the executed Contract Documents have been submitted, and within five (5) calendar days of the commencement date set forth in the Notice to Proceed. The work, including any and all alternates and options, shall be completed within seventy (70) working days after the commencement date set forth in the Notice to Proceed.
