The California Department of Food and Agriculture needs a contractor to provide minisplit HVAC installation for the Blythe Border Station, located 7116 Interstate 10, Blythe, CA 92225. The Contractor, or subcontractor, must hold a C-20 HVAC Contractors license. Written questions must be received by 12:00 PM PT.................December 27, 2023 Post Questions and Answers by 5:00 PM PT...................................January 3, 2024 Notice of Proposed Award Date to occur within five (5) business days after Opening of Cost Proposal. Specifics of Work to be Done Contractor Shall: A. Remove and dispose of the currently installed wall mounted air conditioning (AC) unit. B. Prepare area for installation. C. Provide and install one (1) 36,000 BTU mini split system (or 3-ton equivalent) in place of the old AC unit. D. Fill and finish any remaining gaps in the wall if the hole from the AC unit is larger than the required hole for the mini split system. The term of this contract is March 1, 2024, or upon final/Department of General Services/Office of Legal Services (DGS/OLS) approval, whichever is later, through June 30, 2024. This is an Agreement in which the Contractor shall provide Mini Split HVAC Installation. The Contractor will be compensated for the services in accordance with the service rate(s) specified in Attachment 1, Cost Sheet, which shall include all labor, equipment, parts, devices, materials, tools, licenses, permits, supervision, inspection, insurance, transportation, travel and per diem, and every other item of expense necessary for the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA), Blythe Border Station, located 7116 Interstate 10, Blythe, CA 92225 This IFB has participation goals for the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Program of three (3%) percent of the total bid cost. Bidders must meet the DVBE requirements in order to be considered a responsive bidder and be considered for contract award. Failure to meet the three (3%) percent minimum will result in your bid being rejected. In the event a potential prime contractor is unable to attend the mandatory walk-through, an authorized representative may attend on their behalf. The representative may only sign-in for one (1) company. Subcontractors may not represent a potential prime contractor at a pre-bid conference or walk-through. Bidders must email the address listed on the cover page of this IFB no later than five working days prior to the scheduled date and time of the pre-bid conference/walk-through to arrange for a reasonable accommodation for those who need assistance for the walk-through due to physical impairment.
