The project includes, but not limited to, 1213 LF of 8" water line, 578 LF of 15" sewer, four (4) sewer manholes, and 578 LF of 22' wide gravel road. The City of Benton City is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer. Women- and Minority-Business Enterprises (WMBE) are encouraged to submit bids. All work performed on the project will be subject to prevailing state wage rates. This project is funded through the American Rescue Plan Act. Bid Security: A certified or bank cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount, payable to the City of Benton City, or bid bond executed by a licensed bonding company is required with each bid. A performance bond and a payment bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the total bid price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner, shall be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Attorneys-in-fact who sign bid bonds, payment bonds and performance bonds shall file with each bond a certified and effective dated copy of their power of attorney. Rejection of Bids: The City shall have the right to reject any or all bids not accompanied by bid security or data required by the bidding document or a bid in any way incomplete or irregular. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to accept any bid, or to waive minor informalities. The notice to proceed shall be issued within five (5) days of the execution of the agreement by Owner.
