As of 12/29/2023 No Bids Received – Plan to rebid first quarter 2024 Work on this project will commence on or before Feb 1, 2024 and be completed by March 29, 2024. The work included in this project includes all materials, equipment and manpower to complete the restroom facility described in this contract and indicated on plans prepared by Mayer Architectural Group, Inc. This contract is partially funded by ODNR grant C725E2. In addition to the standard performance bond enclosed, a two-year maintenance bond, in the amount of 10% of this contract, shall be required of the successful bidder at his own expense. The two-year term of this guarantee shall begin on the date of final acceptance of this improvement and shall guarantee that this improvement will remain in good condition for and during the entire period of guarantee. If at any time before or during said period of guarantee any defects or omissions become apparent in the work or if it becomes apparent that any of the work is not in accordance with the requirements, or if any work constructed under this contract requires repairs due to defects in materials or workmanship, or for any other cause which may be attributed to the work which is being done or has been done by the Contractor, as determined by the City, the Contractor shall rectify such defects or omissions within five days of notification and shall complete such corrections within a reasonable length of time, and acceptable to the City, at his own expense. If the Contractor fails to rectify such defects or omissions or to start such repairs within five days, the City reserves the right to make such corrections at the expense of the Contractor/Bonding Company. The successful bidder must within ten (10) days after he has received notice of the award to him and before entering into contract, furnish bonds on the enclosed forms and as approved by the City in amounts equal to the estimated cost of construction at his own expense. Engineers Base Bid Estimate: $200,000 Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than March 29, 2024. Proposal must contain the full name of every person, firm or corporation interested in the bid and be accompanied by a surety bond, certified check or cashiers check on a solvent bank in the sum equal to ten percent (10%) of amount bid, payable to the City of Twinsburg as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, OPWC project: the Governors Executive Order of 1972, and the Governors Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.
