The Scope of Work for this contract includes furnishing all labor and material required to complete the project. Site improvements in this scope of work include but are not limited to installation of a new playground, play mound/earthwork berms, concrete pavement, site furnishings, irrigation, and electrical work, with a restroom and pavilion as add alternates. Additional scope includes soil preparation, planting beds, and trees. Seeding shall be performed by the City after fine grading and soil preparation is completed by the contractor. Also included in scope are erosion control measures necessary to protect sidewalks and storm water infrastructure, grading of the site, haul-off of excess fill material, and coordination with City utility for connection to existing irrigation system, and installation of new water service, electrical service, and sewer service. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the amount of five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid. The bid guaranty may be by certified check or bid bond made payable to the City of Garden City, Kansas. Questions regarding this project should be directed to Lance Klein, Project Manager on behalf of the City. All questions shall be submitted in writing via email to lancek@swtdesign.com with julians@swtdesign.com copied. No questions will be accepted after 5:00 PM on January 9, 2024. The city intends to issue a notice to Proceed on before February 9th ,2024. The City of Garden city reserves the right to reject any or all bids
