Payment for the balance retained will be issued by the Owner upon completion of the work and approval thereof by the Owner's Engineer, City or Governmental approval when necessary, and acceptance by the Owner. Each bid shall be accompanied, in a separate sealed envelope, by a certified or bank check drawn on a bank whose deposits are insured by the F.D.I.C. or an acceptable bid bond in the amount of $35,000.00 and shall be payable without condition to SANITARY AND IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 578 OF DOUGLAS COUNTY, NEBRASKA as a guarantee that the bidder, if successful, will execute the contract and provide an acceptable Contract Bond from an approved surety in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price. No bidder may withdraw his Bid for a period of THIRTY (30) days after the date set for the opening of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
