Project No: E22077 The work to be performed under this contract includes the construction of approximately 5,300 linear feet of 8" DIP water main to replace existing ACP and CIP water mains within the Camelot subdivision (King Arthur Drive, Lancelot Way and Merlin Place) in Lawrenceville, GA, including new valves, fire hydrants, and changeover of all water services; approximately 1,100 linear feet of 8" gravity sewer replacement, including 5 manholes and changeover of all sewer services; asphalt resurfacing of all roads and restoration of all disturbed areas to preconstruction conditions; and all other appurtenances as shown on the Drawings or specified within the contract documents as required to complete the project. Bidders wanting to submit a bid must purchase plans via Certified Check, Treasurer's Check or Cashier's Check, issued by a responsible bank or trust company and payable to Precision Planning, Inc. CONSECUTIVE CALENDAR DAYS FOR COMPLETION: 270 (Substantial) / 300 (Final) The County will award the Contract to the lowest "qualified" bidder, subject with the Owner's right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, and to make an award deemed in its best interests. With limited response, Gwinnett County reserves the right to extend the solicitation opening date as appropriate in order to assure a competitive procurement process. Liquidated Damages: Bidder agrees to complete the Contract awarded within the "allowable calendar days for completion" from the date of the "Notice to Proceed" and he further agrees that the Owner may retain from the monies which may become due the amount of $600.00 (Substantial) / $400.00 (Final) for each and every day that the completion of the work may be delayed. Bid Withdrawal: No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. All Bidders are required to submit a Bid Bond or a certified check made payable to the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. The Bid Bond or certified check must be enclosed in the envelope with the sealed bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the sum of 100% of the total amount bid and provide insurance coverage as required by the contract documents.
