23.11486 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Jacob Lott, Engineer of Record, Lancore Engineering, P.C., at jacob.lott@lancoreeng.com , in writing. Project Number - 1 Projects/2023/23.11486/main mcneal drive, 23.1148 The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials and equipment and performing all labor necessary to widen an existing 0.33 mile asphalt street, install a new drainage system, curb and gutter, and sidewalks according to the details in the specifications All bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond, made payable to the City of Douglas in the amount of at least five (5) percent of the lump sum bid. Separate contract Performance Bonds and Payment Bonds equal to one hundred (100) percent of the contract amount will be required from the successful bidder prior to execution of contracts. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited if the Bidder fails to execute the contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the contract. The work on the project must be completed by July 31, 2024 and within 200 consecutive calendar days of the date of notice to proceed. The Owner further reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities, and to accept any bid which in its opinion may be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner has the right to add or to delete from the Contract once it has been awarded. The estimated budget for this project is $1,700,000.00
