State Contractors Class B License is required.If the bidder does not list a licensed subcontractor(s) under the Designation of Subcontractors section of the Bid Proposal to perform work in any of the following trades, in order to be found responsive and in order to perform that work himself/herself, the bidder must possess the State specialty license for that trade: Mechanical (C-20); Electrical (C-10); and Plumbing (C-36). In order to be deemed responsive, the bidder must list, in the bid forms, at least three (3) projects with similar size and scope of work that it has completed within the last ten years at a California Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) 1 Facility. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technical errors, discrepancies or informalities of a bid not affected by law, if to do so seems to best serve the public interest. All technical questions to be submitted to the Project Manager in writing via email at nicholas.ho@pfm.sbcounty.gov. The subject line of the email should include the project number, as found in the bid documents, along with the project name and RFI. All questions must be submitted no later than January 11, 2024. No questions will be answered within seventy-two (72) hours of the bid opening. Copies of the prevailing wage rates are on file at the Project and Facilities Management Department and shall be made available to any interested party on request. Copies are also included in the Bid Documents. Concurrently with the submittal of its bid, bidders are required to furnish bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the BASE BID. Bid is successful, the undersigned agrees to execute the required Standard Contract and will furnish a payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a Faithful Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.
