Story County Conservation McFarland Shop 56595 180th St Ames, IA 50010 Removal and replacement of a maintenance shop building. The proposed improvements will require earthwork operations, utility distribution, footings and foundation, slab on grade, construction of new building to accommodate office space, storage, bay for equipment and vehicle repair, chemical storage, breakroom and restrooms. Time for Commencement and Completion of Work. Work on the improvements shall commence upon approval of the contract by the Conservation Board and as stated in the Notice to Proceed. All work under the Contract must be substantially complete on or before April 15, 2025 and final completion on May 1, 2025. Liquidated damages as set forth in the Contract, in the amount of $200 per day. Maintenance and Warranty bond shall be held in effect to guarantee the maintenance of the improvement caused by failures in materials and construction for a period of 1-year from and after final acceptance of the work
