All General Contractors and Elevator, Scaffolding and Waterproofing Subcontractors are required to attend mandatory pre-bid meeting. The Work under this contract shall be performed entirely within the City of Burbank, and consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and services, and performing all work necessary for the Downtown Metrolink Station Waterproofing & Elevator Modernization Project Description: Located at Burbanks regional transit hub, this public elevator is more than 26 years old and one of the most heavily used within the Citys elevator system inventory. This Project includes selective restoration of the elevator tower waterproofing Exterior elevator tower work will be facilitated by a scaffolding system designed and erected by the Contractor, and will remain throughout restoration/construction. Pedestrian pathways to the Metrolink station will remain accessible and maintained from the Olive Avenue overpass.. In addition to the elevator tower rehabilitation, the Project will modernize all elevator systems, equipment, cab interior fixtures and finishes, cab cooling, fire/life/safety system, elevator machine room cooling, and supporting infrastructure. Bid Schedule 1522 contains special qualification requirements for the following subcontractors: Scaffolding, Waterproofing, and Elevator. SCRRA Encroachment: Portions of the Work under this contract will be performed in and near the Southern California Regional Rail Authoritys (SCRRA) easement and thus requires special permits issued by SCRRA. The Contractor shall be responsible for selected application submittals required to secure the permits and for complaince with conditions of the permits. See the Special Provisions of the Contract Documents for more information. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
