Texas State Technical College ("TSTC") is a coeducational two-year institution of higher education offering courses of study in technical vocational education for which there is demand within the State of Texas. TSTC is mandated to contribute to the educational and economic development of the State of Texas by offering occupationally oriented programs with supporting academic course work, emphasizing highly specialized advanced and emerging technical and vocational areas for certificates or associate degrees. Scope of Work I. Replace PAPI System A. Remove existing PAPI system B. Install new L-880 LED style B 4-Box PAPI system with: 1. New baseplates; and 2. 200w transformers II. Replace Windcone A. Remove existing inoperable wind cone and deteriorating wind cone foundation B. Install new wind cone foundation with: 1. Anchor bolt assembly; and 2. Junction Can C. Install #8 5KV airfield cable in SCH40 1. Installed in trench and connected to nearest runway light to be fed with runway circuit D. Install and terminate new L-807 Size 2 LED tilt-down wind cone III. LED Beacon Install & Wiring A. Remove old beacon B. Install new L-802 High Intensity LED Beacon Requirements for Proposal Criterion One: Ability to Meet the Project Timeline Respondents must be able to begin by January 2nd, 2024. Please describe how you would implement the project timeline. Criterion Two: Range of Previous Relevant Experience Provide at least three (3) similar projects to include a description/details of project and current contact information (company's name, contact name, email address, and phone number). Outdated or inaccurate information will be considered nonresponsive. Texas State Technical College ("TSTC") is issuing this RFP to select a firm that can install and upgrade our airport PAPI system, wind cone, and beacon located at the TSTC Waco Campus. If a SIGNED Execution of Offer is not submitted the bid will be disqualified. TSTC does not anticipate the contract to exceed $100,000 and will not require that a HUB Subcontracting Plan be submitted Q&A Board Message: If you have any questions concerning the project, please submit those through the Q&A Board.
