Bidders must be registered on the Vallecitos Water District's PlanetBids portal in order to submit questions and receive addendum notifications. Deadline for questions shall be at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. Questions regarding the project will be answered up to 72 hours before the bid opening. Because of the time necessary to notify bidders, no addenda will be issued within 72 hours of the date set for the opening of Bids. The Owner designates, Minh Nguyen, MBN Group, Inc., as the Architect of Record under the Contract Documents. The UPDATE RESTROOMS TO ADA COMPLIANCE PROJECT (Work) consists of demolition of the existing restrooms and adjacent hallway areas, and installation of new walls, ceiling, flooring, tiles, toilet partitions, toilet accessories, door frames, plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, and countertops, as more fully described in the Contract Documents (Work). The location of the work is generally described above and more fully described in the Contract Documents. All work under this Contract shall be completed within One Hundred (100) calendar days from the date noted in the NOTICE TO PROCEED. The estimated construction cost is $135,000. Please take notice that while the District's PlanetBids portal will receive closed bids, the District, as a County Water District organized pursuant to Water Code Sections 30000 et seq., is not required to award the contract to the lowest qualified responsible bidder. At the above-stated date and time, said proposals will be publicly posted on PlanetBids. Bids must be submitted on the District's Bid Forms. A Bidder may obtain a copy of the Contract Documents from PlanetBids. To the extent required by section 20103.7 of the Public Contract Code, upon request from a contractor, the District shall provide an electronic copy of the Contract Documents at no charge. It is the responsibility of each prospective Bidder to download and print all Contract Documents for review and to verify the completeness of Contract Documents before submitting a Bid. Any addenda will be posted on PlanetBids. It is the responsibility of each prospective Bidder to check PlanetBids on a daily basis through the close of bids for any applicable addenda or updates. The District does not assume any liability or responsibility based on any defective or incomplete copying, excerpting, scanning, faxing, downloading or printing of the Contract Documents. Information on PlanetBids may change without notice to prospective Bidders. The Contract Documents shall supersede any information posted or transmitted by PlanetBids.
