The Town of Woodbridge is seeking bids for the construction of a new storage and training facility for the Woodbridge Fire Department. A bid bond of five percent (5%) of the base bid cost is required and must accompany each proposal. Bids must be held form for one hundred twenty (120) days beyond the bid opening date. The successful bidder must file a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond, a one hundred percent (100%) Labor & Materials Bond and a Certificate of Insurance with the Finance Director within ten (10) days of notice of bid award. The Finance Director reserves the right to reject any or all bids, any part thereof, waive defects in same, or accept any proposal deemed to be in the Town's best interest. Bidders' attention is called to the requirement of Connecticut General Statute 4a-60g (Set aside for small contractors and minority business enterprises). This Contract is subject to State Set aside and Contract Compliance requirements. The Request for Proposal/Bid does not necessarily contemplate an award based solely on price. The Board of Selectmen or its designee may reject or accept any and all bids in whole or in part or may waive any informality in bids received if, in its/his/her opinion, it is in the best interest of the Town to do so, for whatever reason.
