Per Addendum 3 Bid Date has been Extended The Town of Ayer DPW is seeking sealed bids for the "Spectacle Pond Water Treatment Plant Filter Media Replacement." The project is located at the Spectacle Pond Water Treatment Plant, off Wagon Road in AyerThe Work consists of removal and replacement of filter media (Anthracite coal media, GreensandPlus(TM) filter media, Gravel support media) and the rehabilitation of six (6) existing greensand pressure filters at the Spectacle Pond Water Treatment Plant. All work shall be substantially complete within 90 consecutive calendar days of the date fixed in the Notice to Proceed. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 26 to 27H. It is the responsibility of the contractor, before bid opening, to request, if necessary, any additional information on Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management (DCAM) in Water and Sewerage Treatment Facilities and must submit a current DCAM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAM Update Statement (Form CQ 3). Each General Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid for a period of sixty (60) days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays after the actual date of the opening of the General Bids.
