Provide all professional engineering services necessary for the design, bidding and construction of the Waxahachie - Midlothian Regional Trail. This trail consists of approximately 12,600 linear feet of 12-foot wide concrete trail, drainage culverts with associated headwalls, pedestrian bridges, two trailheads, and various trail amenities. This project will include survey, right-of-way acquisition, environmental assessment, SUE work/utility identification and coordination for relocations, trail design, pedestrian bridges, a concrete trail, drainage culverts, and various amenities. It is anticipated that the Consultant will provide, either by self-performance or by sub-consultants, all necessary design work for the project. Questions regarding this RFQ shall be emailed to the Citys Purchasing Agent at nery.pena@midlothian.tx.us with the RFQ number in the subject line no later than 12:00 PM CST September 20, 2024. A pre-qualification meeting will NOT be held for this RFQ. Respondents shall not contact any City staff except those designated herein this RFQ or subsequent addendums. Noncompliance with this provision may result in the rejection of the submittal. The Citys response to the questions shall be provided to all respondents through an addendum and will be bound with and made a part of the contract documents. No other explanation or interpretation will be considered official or binding. While the intent is for the City of Midlothian to contract with a single firm to provide all necessary services, if a specific need arises and it is deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Midlothian, the City reserves the right to use any and all legal procurement methods to obtain the necessary expertise to meet the needs of the project.
