All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bid Specifications shall be submitted, in writing only, NO LESS THAN FOURTEEN (14) WORKING DAYS prior to the bid receipt date. MA-2022-Cyril Avenue-00675 MA-2023-Heights Avenue Improvements-00178 A certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, but not in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00), must be submitted with the bid, guaranteeing that if a contract is awarded, the bidder shall execute the contract and deliver the bond(s), if any, required by the bid documents. The Bid Bond must be written by a surety company listed on the Federal Treasury List (Environmental Protection Agency Circular 570-Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds) as required by N.J.A.C. 7:22-3.17 (g). Bidders shall submit an original of their respective bids in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the words "Bid for Cyril Avenue & Heights Avenue Improvements, Project No. 2373" clearly visible on the outside thereof. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. All bidders and any named subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Labor and Workforce Development pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act at the time the bidder's bid is received, and bidders shall submit the Public Works Contractor Registration for itself and all named subcontractors prior to the award of a contract by the Borough. Any unnamed subcontractor must be registered with the Department of Labor and Workforce Development prior to starting work. The successful bidder shall submit copies of the New Jersey Business Registration Certificate(s) for itself and all subcontractors prior to award of a contract. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all of the bids or waive any informalities therein pursuant to and in accordance with applicable law.
