The Town of Vernon, Connecticut is seeking qualified, licensed contractors for the design and construction of the Electrical at the Citizen's Block, 28-34 Park Place, Vernon, Connecticut. The selected firm must have demonstrated experience in providing such service and adhere to standards and requirements typical for such service. A certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid and insurance certificates must accompany each proposal. All questions about the project should be directed by e-mail only to Dwight Ryniewicz, Director of Public Works, at dryniewicz@vernon-ct.gov, no later than 3:30 PM on Monday, November 6, 2023. Answersto all received questions shall be posted by Friday, November 10, 2023. This is a prevailing wage job and certified payrolls must be provided to the owner's representative. CT Commission on Human Rights and Opportunitiesrequirementsfor Affirmative Action Plans and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises set-asides are likewise part of this assignment. MBEs/WBEs/SBEs are encouraged to apply. The selected firm must meet all municipal, state, and federal AA and EEO practices and requirements. MBE's, WBE's, SBE's are encouraged to apply. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals in whole or part, to award any one service or group of services or all services, to negotiate with any or all companies submitting proposals, and to enter into an agreement with any contractor for any services mentioned in this RFP; if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
