All questions shall be submitted to Aaron Wagoner at LandDesign, Inc. at awagoner@landdesign.com by October 27 at 5:00 pm. Description The contractor shall install two (2) modular street decks (Parklet #1 and #2) at the locations shown on the plans (L-1.00 & L-1.01). Each modular street deck will include: elevated paver decking (porcelain pavers), adjustable pedestals, side rails, planters, and cover plate. Refer to sheet L-1.02 for modular street deck details. This bid package only includes the modular street deck units and does not include any other roadway improvements. Requirements 1. Must be modular in 2' and 4' sections for easy installation and removal. 2. The entire deck structure must, by design, be elevated off the asphalt. 3. Steel components must be galvanized, and powder coated. 4. Steel components must be delivered and re-packable on 4'x4' pallets for ease of delivery and storage. 5. Deck elevating pedestals but be adjustable in height to level deck to curb and account for crown in street. 6. Deck elevating pedestals must 7. The entire deck system must be designed to accommodate 3/4" thick 24"x24" pavers. 8. Planter boxes must have height adjustable shelving to accommodate vegetation. 9. Walking surface must meet industry standard Dynamic Coefficient of Friction of .42 or higher. 10. Access ramps must be designed to efficiently shed rainwater. 11. Modular pavers must have a lifetime warranty on manufacturing defects. 12. Steel components must have a 2-year warranty. 13. Powder coating on steel components must have a 1-year warranty.
