This Navy Design-Build project involves repairing damaged flooring, floor joist, beams, and columns supporting the second story floor system of Building B259. The contractor shall consider existing conditions during design work and actual construction of the structural framing and roof system. The project duration is 380 days total (200 for design & 180 for construction). The project is Prevailing Wage. Trades required: Temporary Office & Storage Trailers, Portable Restrooms, Temporary Fencing, Temporary Power, Temporary Shoring, Dust Control, Temporary Erosion Control, Sustainability Reporting, Historical Architect, Demolition, Lead Paint Abatement, Air Quality Monitoring, Rough Carpentry, Structural Wood Framing, Heavy Timber Construction, Sheathing, Wood Siding, Firestopping, Joint Sealants, Doors/Frames & Hardware, Wood Windows/Frames & Sills, Light Gauge metal Stud Framing, Gypsum Board, Acoustical Ceilings, Resilient Flooring, Painting, Electrical, Electrical Testing & Low Voltage (Remove & Reinstall Existing Systems). The estimated price range of this work is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Design phase will be established at 200 calendar days from the date of contract award. The task order completion date will be established at 380 calendar days from the date of contract award. A Bid Guarantee, Performance Bond, and Payment Bond is required. In accordance with FAR 52.228-1, Bid Guarantee (Sep 1996), of the basic contract, a bid guarantee in the proper form and amount shall be submitted with the task order proposal. The bid guarantee shall be 20% of the bid price or $3,000,000, whichever is less. Bonds shall be accompanied by a document authenticating the agent's authority to sign. Within 14 calendar days after the task order is awarded, the Contractor is required to submit Performance and Payment Bonds, each equal to 100% of the total amount of the task order in accordance with NAVFAC Acquisition Supplement (NFAS) 5252.228-9305, Notice of Bonding Requirements (Dec 2000) No questions will be answered at the site visit. Contractors shall email all inquiries and RFIs to Stephanie Pavo at stephanie.l.pavo.civ@us.navy.mil no later than 10:00 A.M. H.S.T. on Tuesday, 07-NOV-2023. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
