The purpose of this Request for Qualifications is to select qualified General Contractors capable of providing complete design-build services for the renovation/remodeling of the Field Services (Lab) building at the Districts headquarters facilities in Live Oak, Suwannee County, Florida. Selected contractors (not more than 3). The District will then commence negotiations with the highest qualified firm for the design, construction and material costs. If unable to reach an agreement with the highest qualified firm, the District will commence negotiations with the second highest and so on until a contract is executed. The District is requesting sealed qualifications from licensed Design-Build firms to provide the identified services. The District will only accept submissions from firms demonstrating the ability to provide planning, design and construction management services, and reports (including as-built drawings). The District is seeking qualifications for Design/Build firms to provide Design and Construction services for the remodeling/renovation of the District's Field Services (Lab) facility at its headquarters facility in Live Oak, Suwannee County, Florida. The facility is currently configured as a working lab with additional workspaces and consists of approximately 1,955 square feet, including two storage areas accessible only from the exterior of the building. There is also a pole barn covered parking area that may be addressed in the final scope of work. The general scope of the work to be performed is as follows: Remove and replace all existing exterior siding with Hardi-Board of similar product. Remove and replace the existing shingle roof with standing seam metal roofing system. Remove all interior cabinets, Lab hoods, fixtures and interior drywall and ceilings. Replace existing HVAC system with two separate units with separate climate controls. Update/replace all electrical systems. Design and Remodel the interior into two separate areas - one being a climate controlled workspace and the other being a shipping/receiving and storage area. Remove and Replace existing windows and doors. Install a double steel entry door at the front entrance. Redesign the access walkway and Ramp to accommodate new entry doors and to ADA compliance. Remove existing tile floors and replace with epoxy or other suitable flooring surface. The above is not exhaustive but merely illustrative of the work to be performed. A more complete Scope of Work will be developed as part of the final contract negotiations. The selected contractor will be responsible for obtaining all required permits and inspections and otherwise complying with State and local building codes and requirements.
