The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County (Metro) is soliciting proposals from qualified companies to provide construction services for the construction of a new park and community center and related site requirements as illustrated in bid documents, as well as required demolition of identified structures on site. If awarded, the resulting agreement will be effective until project completion. Construction Permit. The Contractor shall coordinate the following permits and regulatory reviews (and be responsible for associated fees): Metro Building Permit and associated codes reviews, as well as, local construction permits including but not limited to MWS tap, meter and inspection fees, MPW driveway, lane and sidewalk closure permits, and any other permits that are necessary to complete the work and not listed above. * All pay items are set forth on the cost spreadsheet. All items of costs explicitly set forth in the project plans or inherently necessary for the construction of the proposed work are to be included in the pay items listed on the cost spreadsheet. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to establish a contract to provide construction services for the construction of a new park and community center and related site requirements as illustrated in bid documents, as well as required demolition of identified structures on site. * Contractor shall provide all materials, activities, and labor required to construct a new park environment, a new community center, demolition of existing facilities, and all other requirements established in bid documents. * The scope of this contract shall include all demolition, construction, necessary permits, environmental, site work, and furnishing all materials not supplied by owner, labor, removal and disposal of demolition debris, equipment and machinery, tools, water, heat, utilities, transportation, insurance, taxes, superintendence, coordination, and miscellaneous services required for the completion of the scope, whether temporary or permanent and whether or not incorporated or to be incorporated into the scope. * All construction activities shall be completed in full compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act ("ADA"), 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design as has been adopted by Metro. * All construction shall adhere to the Metro Public Works Engineering Details and Specifications and the Tennessee Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction (latest edition), Additional Specifications and Special Provisions thereof, and Standard Drawings as applicable. * Scope of the proposed construction is outlined within the project plans and any supplemental specifications attached to this RFP. * Construction shall adhere to all local, state, and federal building codes, permits and laws that govern the work indicated on the plans and specifications. The Metro Parks Department will coordinate the following permits and regulatory reviews (and associated fees): Metro Stormwater Grading Permit, Metro Water Services (MWS) Capacity Studies and Plan Review, TDEC NPDES General The only official position of Metro is found within this solicitation document including answers provided in response to questions raised. Metro reserves the right to issue additional rounds as it deems necessary for the purposes of evaluation. Additional rounds may include, but not be limited to, Offeror interviews.
