In general, the work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals for construction of the following work: o Provide electrical power service from the Southerly WWTC to the Southerly Tunnel Dewatering Pump Station site and Southerly Tunnel and Consolidation project site. o New buried duct banks, manholes, handholes. o New 15 kV medium voltage cables. o Installation of two (2) - 20-inch steel casing pipes by the jack-and-bore method under East 49th Street to facilitate installation of the electrical ducts and cabling under the roadway. o Refer to the contract documents and specification Section 01 11 00, Summary of Work. This meeting has been set in order to provide all potential Bidders an opportunity to discuss with the Owner all aspects of the Contract Documents for the Southerly Tunnel Dewatering Pump Station Electrical Service. Any changes, additions and/or deletions resulting from this pre-bid conference will be covered in an addendum to the Contract Documents. The NEORSD will post the link to the Sharefile site on the NEORSD's Bids website. Prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to frequently monitor the Bids website for project updates and addenda. The NEORSD will not be responsible or liable for project addenda that are not received by the bidder due to incorrect or out-of-date contact information. The NEORSD reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids received. Bidders shall review the Instructions to Bidders and all other contract documents prior to submitting a bid for this project. The Contract will be subject to the NEORSD policies and goals regarding the use of minority, women, and small business enterprises (MBE/WBE/SBE). This policy is contained in the Contract Specifications. The Engineer's Estimate for Southerly Tunnel Dewatering Pump Station Electrical Service is $3,100,000.00. Effective October 3, 2023, ORC Section 153.12 states that a public improvement contract may not be entered into if the price of the contract is in excess of twenty percent (20%) above the project estimate. Pursuant to amended NEORSD Bylaws and policy, the NEORSD may establish a percentage less than 20 percent (20%) for any public improvement project. For this Project, the price of the contract may not be in excess of twenty percent (20%) above the Estimate of Probable Construction Cost.
