Each bidder is required to bid each item on a fixed unit price basis, which will be maintained throughout the contract. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check or bid bond payable to the City Treasurer of the City of New Brunswick, as a guarantee that if the contract is awarded to them, they will enter into a contract therefore. The amount so deposited shall be ten percent (10%) of the bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00. N.J.S.A. 40A11-14, provides that the Governing Body of any municipality may provide the form and manner of approval of all guarantee, indemnity, fidelity or other bonds required. The City Council of the City of New Brunswick reserves the right to reject any and all bids if in its opinion it is in the best interest so to do.
