The City of Courtenay is seeking quotations from qualified vendors for civil construction utility services such as abandonments, installation of new services and water meter boxes with setters. 1. The work is to be carried out on an "as and when needed basis". There is no implied guarantee of work. These works will be completed by the Bidder when workload exceeds the City's capacity to address them in a timely manner. 2. Each individual project is to not exceed $200,000 as per the City's Procurement Policy. 3. Civil construction works for the abandonment of and installation of water, sewer or storm service connections, and installation of water meter boxes with meter setters for existing services are required. These are defined as: a. Abandonment Water b. New Water 25 mm c. New Water 50 mm d. Existing Water 19 mm & 25 mm - water meter box and meter setter e. Existing Water 50 mm - water box and meter setter f. Abandonment Storm g. New Storm 150 mm h. Abandonment Sanitary i. New Sanitary 100 mm The contract shall be for a three (3) year term, commencing on January 1, 2024 and ending on December 31, 2027. The contract may be extended for up to an additional two (2) years based on mutual agreement by both parties, satisfactory pricing and a satisfactory performance review performed by the City.
