This solicitation is for the removal and replacement of an evaporator and compressor for the Department of Corrections located at the Prison Enterprises - Meat Packing Plant, 10832 Highway 61, St. Francisville, LA 71775. The job is to be performed in accordance with the enclosed scope of work and specifications. For any bid submitted in the amount of $50,000 or more, a bid security (insurance company, bank money order, certified check, or cashier's check) must be included with the bidder's submission in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount bid (including base bid and additive alternates, if any) and shall become the property of the agency in the event the contract and bond are not executed within the time set forth in the bid solicitation. Failure to do so will remove the bid from consideration. In accordance with La. R.S. 37:2165 A (1), a Contractors' License Number in the appropriate classification(s) such as Mechanical and/or Heat, Air Conditioning, Duct work, Ventilation and Refrigeration must appear on the bid opening envelope on all projects in the amount of $10,000.00 or more (and $1.00 or more if hazardous materials are involved).
