The Alaska Department of Corrections is requesting proposals for professional design services to upgrade and replace roofs at Palmer Correctional Center buildings in Sutton, Alaska. Construction projects will be performed in 2 phases. Phase 1 Medium Housing Unit 1, Medium Administration and Medium Segregation. Phase 2 Gymnasium and Maintenance Shop. The successful contractor shall provide design services to complete a bid ready sets for plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E) assistance during bidding and assistance during construction. The Department of Corrections is soliciting a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a contractor to design roof replacement at Palmer Correctional Center in Sutton, Alaska. Location: Palmer Correctional Center, Mile 58 Road, Sutton, Alaska 99674 Pre-proposal questions should be in writing and received by the procurement officer no later than close of business November 8, 2023 to allow adequate time for the issuance of an addendum if needed. To qualify for the Alaska Offerors Preference, under AS 36.30.321, an Offeror shall have a valid Alaska business license as a prerequisite to proposal. Information regarding applying for an Alaska Business License can be found on-line calling 1-907-465-2550. The business license must be in the name of the company under which the proposal is submitted. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
